Literature Text

Silky smooth
Florescent glare
Touching softly everywhere
Your eyes and a cool air
If you want me
If you dare

Perfect as you label me
Perfect as I seem to be

Close your heart
And don’t forget
My sweet little voice
Inside your head
And everything else left
Unsaid

Yet still so perfect as you label me
And perfect as I seem to be

Used by my love
And lost guidance from above
Yet desire left to be faded
Emotions past dated
Do not dare
Blink and stare

I’m not as perfect as you label me
Not as perfect as I seem to be
Or else you would want me

Or else you would need me
... And in that moment, I just wanted to scream "I'm not as perfect as I seem to be, not as perfect or else you'd want me"...

This is verrry symbolic in my life. Thought I'd post this one.
#96 in my poetry book.

*EDIT*

Entered in a Creative Communication "Spring 2008" contest.
Changed up a few lines to make it fit a 21 line restriction.
Still not sure why this is my "most esteemed" poem from the gallery.
If anyone is interested, the edited version entered is below.

Hey, I really liked that. Its hard for me to like romance poems such as theses, but I think you pulled it off very well ^-^

Well done. xD

I think I'll favorite this one xD
